The water cooling system reached us fully intact and well protected, which underlines the quality of the packaging design.

The scope of delivery includes all the necessary mounting materials for the supported sockets. However, we noticed that the individual bags with the mounting materials were not sufficiently labeled. This could be a challenge for less experienced users in particular, as they may have to spend time sorting the parts. The illustrated assembly instructions included are a positive feature. These are clearly laid out and structured so that installation is easy to follow. Even less experienced users should have no difficulties here. The scope of delivery is rounded off with a tube of thermal paste and a practical extension cable for connecting the fans.

Design and workmanship

The pump body with its integrated display attracts attention as soon as it is unpacked. The first impression: “bigger than expected!” The TRYX Panorama 240 immediately stands out from many other all-in-one water cooling systems thanks to its striking presence.

The overall design of the AiO water cooling system is simple and minimalist. The focus is clearly on the integrated display, which is not only functional, but also takes center stage visually. Almost all components – with the exception of a few accents on the fans – are consistently kept in black, which ensures an elegant and timeless appearance. Particularly striking is the display module, which resembles a cube, with one side highlighted by a gently rounded edge, which is also the center of the display. The top of the pump body impresses with an artistic wave design and fine lettering bearing the words “AMOLED 2K – COOLED BY ASETEK” – a subtle reference to the technology used and the high quality of the components.

One practical detail is that the display module is easy to remove. The pump unit and fan can be seen underneath, which makes maintenance and cleaning easier and underlines the well thought-out design of the TRYX Panorama 240.

Visually, the fans are a real eye-catcher. Thanks to color accents, they offer more variety in design, even if the gray color seemed a little lighter in practice than in the product images shown in various stores. This might slightly disappoint users who were relying on the darker color scheme, but does not detract from the overall aesthetic.

A special detail is the mirrored fan hub, which features the manufacturer’s slogan. This element gives the fans a classy touch and underlines the high-quality claim of the TRYX Panorama 240.

The fan cabling is attached directly to the frame and is kept rather short overall. Customization options and creativity

The Kanali software unfolds its full potential under the “Customization” tab. Here, users can design the display entirely according to their own ideas. There is the option of filling the entire screen with a single piece of content or splitting the display into two areas so that different content can be shown in parallel. There are also special filter options – fog and rain – whose intensity can be individually adjusted to enhance the visual effect.

For personal content, the software offers a media library in which images, GIFs and videos can be uploaded and saved. The formats PNG, JPG, MP4, AVI and GIF are supported, whereby the files must not be larger than 500 MB. Once uploaded, content remains available in the library and can be used again at any time. The upload function works reliably and thanks to the flexible display options, there are virtually no limits to creativity. However, practice has shown that suitable content must first be found or created. An additional library, such as that available in the popular Wallpaper Engine application, would increase the attractiveness of the software enormously.

The “Screen Recording” function, with which screen recordings of videos or animations can be transferred directly to the display, is a positive highlight. This option considerably expands the display options.

Performance test

To assess the performance of the TRYX Panorama 240, the AiO water cooling system was integrated into a test system and the processor was subjected to the Prime95 stress test over a period of 30 minutes. Several scenarios were tested in order to evaluate the cooling performance under different conditions. The pump ran at a constant output of 100% during the entire test phase in order to make optimum use of the cooling capacity.

The test system

The cooling performance of the Panorama impresses in our stress test with consistently solid results. Even with reduced fan speed and a low display fan preset, the system remains pleasantly cool and quiet. The cooling concept of the AiO water cooling works well and proves that it also works reliably under everyday conditions.

Cooling capacity at 50 % PWM

With a maximum temperature of 66.8 °C (preset low), the TRYX Panorama 240 remains within limits even when the fan speed is reduced. This makes it an excellent choice for everyday use when quiet operation is a priority. Raising the display fan preset to “High” improves the temperature by just under one degree Celsius, but noticeably increases the noise level.

Cooling performance at 100 % PWM

The water cooling system shows its full performance at maximum fan speed. At 64.8 °C (preset low) and 63.6 °C (preset high), the temperatures are at a very good level. However, the noise level increases noticeably here, particularly due to the small fan in the pump body. Although this makes a measurable contribution to the cooling performance, it can be annoyingly loud at high speeds.

Conclusion

The TRYX Panorama 240 impresses with its minimalist and high-quality design, which blends effortlessly into a wide variety of PC builds. The highlight is the curved 3D AMOLED display, which impresses with its brilliant presentation and ready-made customization options via the Kanali software. Users can creatively integrate system data, animations and their own content, with the software offering intuitive operation and flexibility. However, it is clear that this is a market starter: The software has only been translated to a limited extent so far (English, Korean, Chinese), and there is a lack of ready-made content and further customization options.

In terms of cooling performance, the AiO shows solid results: Even at reduced fan speeds, temperatures remain stable and the small fan on the pump body makes a measurable contribution to cooling. At maximum performance, the TRYX Panorama 240 delivers very good values, although the volume of the pump fan (in the “High” preset) becomes disturbingly loud.

From our point of view, however, the price/performance ratio is not optimal at the moment. There are small but crucial details missing that could underline the premium appearance of the product. The product is by no means bad, but whether the significant surcharge for the innovative display alone is justified remains an individual decision.

With a premium price, the TRYX Panorama 240 is primarily aimed at enthusiasts who value an individual and high-quality design in addition to strong performance. For users who focus purely on functionality or volume, however, there are far cheaper alternatives.
